Whether your hair is straight, curly, thin, or thick – in addition to these natural structural characteristics, your previous hair care routine is also crucial for the color result. Chemically treated and bleached hair, in particular, is usually very damaged, dry, and brittle. If you are unsure about your hair's structure and how well it will absorb the color, please dye a test strand first.

Recommended water temperature: 50°C

Recommended processing time: 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the desired color. (IMPORTANT: The longer the color is left on, the more intense the result will be!). Leave the color on with a dye cap for the first half of the processing time, and without a dye cap for the second half.

STEP 1 | Optimal preparation for a beautiful color result

Before the coloring process, wash your hair with a certified organic, silicone-free shampoo. We recommend our Scalp Stimulating & Purifying Shampoo. Do not use conditioner or a hair mask after washing, as this reduces your hair's ability to absorb the color.

After the processing time, rinse the color thoroughly with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Please do not use shampoo so that the color pigments can develop optimally in the hair. Follow with a certified organic, silicone-free conditioner or a certified organic, silicone-free hair mask. We recommend our Volume & Shine Hydrating Conditioner or our Smooth & Repair Hair Mask. For the perfect finishing touch, we recommend our Rich Repair & Glossing Mask – an anti-frizz leave-in mask with heat, UV, and color protection. Among other things, it rebuilds the hair's structure from within, seals in the pigments, and extends the life of the color.
