New beginning

By Bahar Krahn, founder of NOELIE

The name NOELIE means new beginning, or also day of birth. It was fitting in many ways: For me, it was an absolute new beginning to develop my own cosmetics line.

With NOELIE , however, a completely new level of active ingredient cosmetics in the organic segment was also born. And it is also the name of my daughter, with whose birth a whole new time began for me and my husband, and we too were, so to speak, reborn as parents and a small family.

A new beginning can therefore have many faces and offer many opportunities. And especially now that a new year has begun, the air seems full of the energy of reinventing oneself and good resolutions.

Regardless of whether the year is just beginning, we can choose to start anew in every second of our lives. Sometimes this decision is preceded by a tiny detail – and sometimes we have a long process behind us before we can decide. But one thing remains the same: The change begins within us and then manifests itself to the outside.

Just feel into it: How are you doing now?

How is your soul, what is it longing for? Are you filling your mind with the things your soul needs? How do you cherish and care for the temple, your body, in which the two reside? Are you in harmony?

With everything you take in, you influence what happens on the outside. If you feed your mind with positive things, positive things will also happen on the outside. If you occupy yourself with fears & worries, this will also be reflected in your environment.

So, become aware that you are the creator of your reality. Imagine it like a vessel: The colors you put in determine the end result, what you radiate, and who and what feels attracted to it. And you can reinvent this color over and over again. Every day of your life.

And you don't have to move mountains for that: Often it is the small things that achieve a great effect.

Detox – trend or essential?

So: Your everyday life, your reality is determined by your mindset. What happens on the outside begins on your inside.

Your body works the same way: If you eat a lot of sugar and care for yourself with products that contain heavy preservatives and nanoplastics, all of this eventually finds a manifestation on the outside. For example, in the form of impurities and large-pored skin. If you drink too little, fine wrinkles quickly develop, and if you sleep too little, it shows in shadows under your eyes.

It therefore makes sense to detox, to cleanse, not just the mind but also the body. And doing without sugar and alcohol after the convivial Christmas season is good for both your skin and your body.

The acid-base balance plays an important role here. Usually, the consequence of "too much" or "too little" is an over-acidification, which can have both internal and external consequences. Internally, for example, over-acidification impairs digestion or puts pressure on our immune system. Externally, it often manifests as impurities or irritations, hair loss, or hot flashes that point to an imbalance. Everything in the world is based on a certain balance.

So is it important to detox regularly? I think it is always important to unburden when something is too much. A detox means removing something that hasn't done you any good. And those can also be things that are okay or even healthy in moderation, such as red wine. Sometimes such detox cures are then also a suitable new beginning to change something permanently.
